Firstly, I will write that I don’t like classic stories: a story between the rich and the poor (example: Boys Before Flowers, The Heirs), a story between the poor daughter in law and the fierce mother in law (Secret Garden, You are My Destiny). The King 2 Hearts is not those typical stories.
It is the story between the daughter of the Minister of The Reunification of South and North Korea, Kim Hang Ah (it can be said that she is not poor, right?), and the South Korean prince, Lee Jae Ha. It is also the story between a nice mother in law and daughter in low.
My first impression toward this drama is I don’t like it at all. Even, I said to my friend that the story was just suck. Besides, I don’t like Ha Ji Won’s North Korean accent. However, when I watched it for the second time, I finally fall in love with this drama so much. It’s not the typical story that I don’t like. It’s really different story from K-Drama Land which always tell the typical story that I mentioned above in the first paragraph.
I also finally found that Ha Ji Won’s accent is just cute and is needed in this drama because she is from North Korea.
I spend my leisure time by watching this drama again and again. I fall in love with Lee Sung Gi who was acted as Prince Lee Jae Ha and Ha Ji Won as Kim Hang Ah. (Let you know that I firstly like Ha Ji Won in What Happened in Bali but I am not Ha Ji Won and Jo In Sung Shipper. I am Ha Ji Won and So Ji Sub’s shipper. I just want them to be together in the drama and real life). But, after watching The King 2 Hearts, I just love if Ha Ji Won and Lee Sung Gi will be together in the real life. Their chemistry is just awesome in the drama. Lol.
The third reason why I like this drama is … there are many loyal fans of The King 2 Hearts. Lol. I knew them from dramabean.com, from facebook, and soompi forum. Maybe the rating was not high in South Korea but internationally it is well received.
